Lylyth, Herald of Everblight

I have finished painting one of my warlocks. I actually finished her a few months ago, but I am lazy and have just now posted her. This is Lylyth, Herald of Everblight. She is my ranged warlock. A warlock is the commander of an army. In a normal Hordes game, the objective is to kill the opposing warlock or all of his/her warbeasts. Lylyth has an awesome-sauce ranged attack, and if she hits, she can cast a spell on the target which automatically hits, plus her warbeasts can charge the target for free. She doesn't have too many spells or very much fury, the energy expended to cast spells, but what she does have is really good for wiping out large units of weak models. And then the warbeasts can charge in and finish what's left. What I don't like is that she doesn't have eyeless sight. None of my warbeasts have eyes. They instead use supernatural senses to locate things, thus negating the problems created by fog, forests, and other such concealing obstacles. Lylyth, however, despite always having her eyes covered by her faceplate and sensing things with her magic, cannot surpass these same things. This makes me angry and makes absolutely no sense at all. As for the fig, it's pretty awesome-sauce. I really like her cloak blowing in the wind. Well, hopefully I can post some other figs if I ever get them painted.

Smurfs and His Men

I finally finished painting something. I actually finished them a couple weeks ago, but haven't uploaded the pictures yet. Anyway, here they are. These ar the Legion of Everblight's Striders from Hordes. They're pretty Awesome-Sauce. They are an extremely good ranged unit, although they are pretty expensive (point wise anyway.) I put these ahead of my advancing army, where they lay waste to enemy units and warbeasts with their devastating rain of arrows. They can't be hit by ranged attacks from more than five inches away, either (which is pretty close.) When they are engaged in melee combat, though, they get slaughtered. Hopefully, by that time, I have some heavies in front to control the battle. And while they aren't nearly as impressive as Marie's figs, they're good enough for my own tastes. The commander's name is Smurfs O'Malley, (he's the one in front with the sword and bow) hence, the name of this post.

Awesome Sauce

As you can see, I now have a blog. I haven't really added that much to it yet, but at least you can enjoy the name.

I guess I'll be moving to the stick of Old Ephraim in a couple of days. I am in the process of packing, which is somewhat complicated. The apartment I'll be staying in is Awesome-Sauce. It's pretty big and crazy-nice. It has some nice couches and a rather large bean bag, as well as a TV, a washer and dryer, and a good kitchen. There is also a clubhouse with a big screen TV, pool table, foosball, ping pong, a piano, and excercise equipment. As for the school itself, you can't go wrong with badgers.

Well, that's about all for now.
