Legion of EverSkorne

Hey, I play Skorne now. Just picked up some stuff (32 pts and 2 warlocks) a couple weeks ago. It was just before the mangled metal tournament. I was thinkin', hey, I should play Skorne. I mean, they're desert-dwelling, domineering samurai with battle-elephants and cyclopes (not to be confused with cyclopses, which are fictitious even in fictitious settings). Anyway, how could you go wrong with that. So I picked up a base box, a shaman and a cannoneer and threw them all together into a 25 pt claw and fang army (not to be confused with tooth and claw, which is not fictitious, just horribly inappropriate when used in this game). Then I bought Hexeris a few days later, because he's awesome-sauce. So, if I post some very un-legionlike models and claim them to be mine in the future, don't be alarmed; this is how it should be.

Stryker

Well, I seem to have finally finished Stryker. It only took me 4 or 5 months. Honestly, I have no idea what's wrong with this kid, but I just can't paint him, although he did turn out pretty good once I did. It just took me way longer than it should have. Part of the problem was the 'jack that he's standing on. Other than that, he's just hard to paint for no apparent reason. Well, that's all done now. On to a unit of Runeshapers. And some of my stuff that still needs to be painted.

Shreddin' Willie Complete

Argh! I be done with little Willie at last. He be all paited up 'n' put tagether. Now I just be havin' to send 'im in to the Privateers themselfs.

He turned out to be a pretty good'n, despite me fears o' all o' the green-stuffin' I had to do to 'im. 'Is eyepatch be over 'is left nostril, although it be a wee bit hard ta see. Now maybe I can get to paintin' up ole Stiker.

Shreddin' Willie Part 2

Ahoy there, ye lubbers! I bin workin' on Shreddin' Willie since ye last visited this 'ere blog of asesome-sauce-ness.

I made 'is base, out o' some popsicle sticks...

And he be all put tagether. Now I just need to be paintin' 'im and puttin' a birdy on 'im.

Avast! The No Quarter challenge for this issue be to make a model look piraty. So, I bin thinkin' to meself, what little metal fella have I that be in need o' some sea legs, and I thought, why not one o' them wee little dragonspawn what likes to call themselfs shredders? (Note: Everblight and his minions actually call shredders Akriel. Shredder is a term coined by his enemies, referring to the way they shred bodies, dead and living). So I got me one o' these little beasties and took 'im apart.

(Not the actual shredder I used. I had already dissassembled him at the time this picture was taken).

So, first I took 'im apart and cut off one o' 'is wee little legs...

and made for 'im a wooden one. (Not actual wood).

And then I gave the blighter a patch over 'is... well, over where one o' 'is eyes would be if Everblight 'ad seen fit to give 'is little critters a decent set o' peepers.
